Protective Nano Premium Erase Film
Having a battle mat that erases easily is important for several reasons:
- Firstly, it allows you to make quick adjustments to the map during gameplay. If a player decides to take a different path than you anticipated, or if you need to add a new feature to the map on the fly, being able to erase and redraw quickly can help keep the game flowing smoothly.
- Secondly, it makes it easier to reuse the same battle mat for multiple games. If the mat is difficult to erase, it can leave behind smudges or marks that can be distracting or confusing during future games.
- Thirdly, it can help preserve the life of the battle mat itself. If you have to scrub hard to remove marks or drawings, it can wear down the surface of the mat and make it less durable over time.
Overall, having a battle mat that erases easily is an important factor to consider when choosing a mat for your RPG games. It can help keep the game flowing smoothly, allow for easy reuse of the mat, and preserve the life of the mat itself.

Now, like everyone who orders one of these, I have used a classic Chessex mat for as long as I have been drawing dungeons and towns. However, I am always glad to try new products from unfamiliar companies to see what is being made. So, I decided to give these a try. First off, I love the tube that they arrived in. I didn’t have any trouble with getting it open, though that was mainly because I had my multitool on me. A quick pry popped the staples out and I fished the mats out. Now, these are great to picture small areas, the upper floor of a building or a basement below can have their own play area.Though I think I found an even better use for these mats. I took one and drew the map for the campaign overworld and I hang it above my chair so that there is a big visual reference for the party. Overall, I have been quite pleased with them and haven’t any serious criticism aside from the art in the corners (which was why the display map popped into mind). It is a very cool design and concept but DM’s typically one every spare inch of grid that they can get. Recommended.
Great battle maps for using dry erase markers on to set stuff up on the fly. Easy to use but I would suggest flattening them out before using as minis will fall over if it’s not flat.
We've used these a couple times now for our games...very nice overall. Comes with a basic set of markers and eraser which is a nice addition. The mats themselves seem very high quality, although they are quite thin so my only concern would be getting a hard crease in them by accident.
It’s nice being able to have these mats for D&D campaigns (coming from using paper)! While I initially thought mats like this may be unnecessary, it has definitely provided a lot of value in my few uses so far (erasing is KEY). In addition to their intended use, my kids often try to steal these to draw on them as well, because why not join in on the fun. Overall, i think they make a great addition to a D&D game and would recommend them!
This mat works out very well! As a note: this is a 1-sided mat with almost 1-inch squares. About 1/16 of an inch short.Test any marker before using. Recommended.
